We are seeking a Private Client/High Net Worth Manager (or above) to join our rapidly growing International Services Group team. This opportunity can be remote or hybrid in one of our domestic office locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to review or desire to learn to review foreign trust instruments to identify US tax attributes.
  • Ability to prepare or review Form 3520/3520-A or desire to develop expertise in these filings.
  • Ability to prepare or review or desire to develop expertise in preparation of foreign non-grantor trust beneficiary statements including calculation of DNI, UNI and FAI.
  • Work closely with high-net-worth individuals, their advisors and fiduciaries to execute legal advice, explain complex trust reporting requirements and provide guidance on compliance matters.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, maintaining long-term relationships and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance their financial position through tax strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • CPA or passing of bar exam required.
  • 7+ years’ experience with a focus on trusts and high net worth individuals required
  • Experience with cross border taxation a plus
  • Experience working with trustees of non-US trusts to implement tax planning strategies for US beneficiaries
  • Understanding of nuanced trust accounting issues.
  • Understanding the US classification of foreign entities typically owned by foreign trusts including PFIC and Subpart F concepts and required US disclosures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter who is able to work in a team, collaborative environment and drive a project to completion.
  • Proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
