Transaction Advisory Services Summer Intern

Working collaboratively with our accounting, tax, finance and investment banking experts, Doeren Mayhew’s pre- and post-transaction due diligence services help reveal risks and opportunities to allow our clients to mark informed decisions about how or whether to proceed with a transaction. Our firm is seeking a Summer 2025 Intern in our Transaction Advisory Services group in our Troy, Michigan office.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, update and maintain financial databooks used for conducting financial analysis
  • Participate in day-to-day execution, interacting with senior team members, client management teams, transaction counterparties and other advisors
  • Assist with preparing information request lists and tracking data collection, including managing virtual data rooms, coordinating the data flow, and reviewing & analyzing company information
  • Conduct market and economic research
  • Analyze financial data for valuation and strategic analyses
  • Develop and apply relevant conceptual frameworks and analytical approaches
  • Assist with the creation of client presentations and production of high-quality deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing Master’s degree in Accounting
  • Intent to meet CPA exam eligibility requirements (150 credit hours)
  • 3.5 GPA (cumulative and in accounting major)
  • Prior accounting or finance internship experience preferred
  • Prior leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of transaction advisory services concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • High degree of curiosity, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent organization, communication and teamwork abilities
