Seasonal Accountant – Business Advisory (Client Support)

Doeren Mayhew is seeking a Seasonal Accountant to support the Business Advisory Department by providing day-to-day accounting services for assigned clients. This role requires strong experience with QuickBooks Online and the ability to complete accurate bank and credit card reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and routine accounting tasks. This role is expected to last approximately six months, with the possibility of full-time hire.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain client financial records in QuickBooks Online, including posting transactions and journal entries.
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing for clients.
  • Prepare basic financial reports and schedules for advisory reviews.
  • Communicate with clients to obtain necessary documentation and clarify accounting activity.
  • Assist the Business Advisory team with month-end tasks and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance OR equivalent experience (bookkeeper, accounting clerk, client accounting services, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online required.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliations and general accounting concepts.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support multiple clients.
